Construction of distillation and condensation columns in various material grades, up to 20 meters in length, with or without intermediate plates.
The solvents contained in the reactor’s liquid mass are thermodynamically balanced with the same components as the gaseous phase.
When the reactor is pressurized, the gaseous phase is confined and the thermodynamic balance is stable. At constant temperature and pressure, there is no exchange of matter between the two phases and the concentrations of the gaseous phase are constant and depend of vapor pressures.
When the reactor under atmospheric pressure or under vacuum, the reactor sky is constantly exchanging matter with the outside: the solvents evaporate in order to maintain equality of chemical potential in liquid phase and in gaseous phase
This evaporation is as significant as the temperature is high (which increases partial pressures) or as total pressure is low, especially if lower than partial pressure of balance
Depending of process data, the distillation column may have :

- Structured garnishing.
